Role: Level 2 - 3 Support Engineer

Rate: €250 per day

Duration: 3 Months,

Location: North Dublin

We have an immediate requirement for a Level 2/3 Support Engineer for a large Managed IT Services provider based in North Dublin. Our client have recognised partnerships with IBM, Microsoft, Autotask, Dell, HP, FuseMail, McAfee, WatchGuard, Cisco, Sophos, KeepItSafe, Veeam, VMWare and others.

Responsibilities

  • Answer calls from customers and log tickets correctly
  • Triage tickets as required and advise senior staff and management if escalation needed
  • Ensure own tickets are closed in a timely manner, escalate as necessary to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Maintain good customer communication and updates for all tickets and projects
  • Log all time correctly in required tools to ensure reporting is accurate.
  • Constantly engage in own professional development
  • Complete projects in allocated time
  • Perform onsite activities as required
  • Mentor and coach more junior members of staff
  • Developing and maintaining IT systems documentation

Key Technical Skills

  • MS Exchange Server
  • Active Directory
  • TCP/IP Protocols
  • Windows Server
  • VMWare
  • Windows 7 - 10
  • VEEAM
  • MS-office suite
  • MCP certification is advantageous
  • Firewalls / Networking (Watchguard, Cisco, Juniper)
  • Strong knowledge of server and storage infrastructure
  • Good knowledge of Cloud Platforms

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educated to Degree Level or relevant industry certification and experience
  • Knowledge of the ITIL methodology advantageous
