Learning & Development Specialist

Job Overview

My client requires a Learning and Development Specialist to join the L&D team. They are a market leading company with over 500 employees across their two locations. This is an exciting opportunity for a L&D specialist who wants to progress in their career.

About this Role:

This role will work closely with the Manager of Learning and Development and the L&D team as well as with relevant business units/stakeholders, in ensuring learning solutions are delivered in an effective manner, which translate into a return on investment to the business

Location: Shannon

Key Responsibilities

Build technical and Behavioural Competencies

o Design and deliver technical and behavioural learning solutions using a broad range of learning tools (e-learning design, classroom, self-directed learning etc.)

o Course maintenance and updates aligned to Company Learning and Development standards

o Conduct Learning needs analysis and skills audits

o Populate and communicate a quarterly schedule of learning

Stakeholder Management

o Satisfactory Customer Satisfaction Survey Results

o Attendance of monthly meetings with stakeholders

Understand Business Strategy and Deliverables

o Spend time in the business, listening into calls and identifying possible performance gaps which could be addressed in learning.

Development of others

o Provide ongoing feedback to business stakeholders regarding the learning component of the development plans of their teams.

o Implementation of best practice learning initiatives

Trusted Learning and Development Partner

o Evaluation of all learning

o Processing of Further Education applications.

o Accurate updates to the online learning system on monthly basis

Recommend and attend learning for own upskilling in alignment with Personal Development Plan

Key Performance Indicators

Skills & Experience & Other

  • Third level studies in Humanities and/or e-learning design/delivery
  • Relevant Degree (Desirable)
  • Post graduate degree preferable but not essential
  • Knowledge of e-learning design and delivery
  • Knowledge of e-learning portals and innovative technology applications in learning
  • Experience in financial services and/or asset servicing industry
  • Previous experience in a learning and development role (Desirable)
