I.T. Support Administrator - 6 Month FTC

Urgent requirment for an IT Support Administrator for a client of mine in Cork!

If you have 1-2 years experience in an IT Support position, then this could be the perfect new role for you to kick start 2019!!

The role is a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract and will suit someone who has previous experience from a similar role. Great opportunity to gain excellent exposure within the area of IT Support


  • Provide support to a wide range of applications, systems and infrastructure within the company.
  • User Support
  • Analysing problems, including root cause analysis
  • Communication with other system support teams
  • Defining possible solutions/rectification
  • Effective and timely communication with all involved parties
  • Monitoring of helpdesk queues, triage and resolution of issues
  • Escalation of calls to system support teams or external providers as necessary
  • Active Directory User Management
  • Account Management
  • User on boarding/off boarding


  • Use/management of an ITIL based helpdesk
  • Extensive experience supporting Windows 7 / 10 desktops and laptops
  • Experience supporting Office 365 with strong MS Outlook skills
  • Effective and timely communication with all involved parties
  • Outstanding ability to triage time-sensitive tasks, accomplishing work according to time frames set.
  • Strong customer service, work ethic and troubleshooting ability, with the ability to prioritise tasks and coordinate workload with other members of the team along with the ability to work on multiple efforts concurrently
  • Networking fundamentals - network basics and cabling.
  • IP Phone system exposure.
  • Windows host networking and local and network based user and group accounts and permissions
