FRS are partnering with one of our long-standing clients to bring on an engaging, proactive and detail-oriented individual to aid in the administration of on-going and newly proposed public sector projects. This role will provide aspiring Project Managers and administrative professionals alike the scope and exposure to work on projects that have impact on the public, to work alongside seasoned, guiding Project Managers and to showcase their skills supporting and contributing to the planning and development of project agendas. Based in Dublin, the position is well suited to those based in locale of Dublin 2 and the surrounding commutable areas.

What will you be doing?

  • This individual will play a supporting role in the business transformation team and will act as the support to ensure that the project objective of a common standard design is met;
  • Supporting and contributing to the planning and development of projects schedules
  • Supporting project planning workshops where required
  • Tracking Project progress against key milestones and monitoring any slippage
  • Supporting the communicating to stakeholders regarding project needs and goals;
  • Coordination with the team members across all project teams;
  • Keeping track of and reporting on project progress;
  • Maintenance pf project trackers including RAIDDC tracker(s) including scheduling regular review of same with key stakeholders
  • Draft weekly and monthly project status reports for review by Project / Programme manager / Director
  • Assist with workshop and meeting planning and preparation
  • Completing any tasks assigned by the Project Manager/Director in an efficient and timely manner;
  • Financial Management and controls (including actuals to date, forecasts, time entry and invoicing management) of the project to be presented to PM for review and approval;
  • Resource forecast and time management support;
  • Performing administrative tasks such as preparing status reports, project plans, meeting agenda's, minutes and scheduling meetings
  • Researching information as required.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Communicating with stakeholders regarding project needs and goals;
  • Level 8 or 9 degree in business/information technology or a related field preferred;
  • Previous experience in project management or a similar role;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Project;
  • Highly organized and able to multitask;
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical ability, with a logical approach to problem solving and sound judgement;
  • Proactive, with a 'can-do' approach and the ability to organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines and
