Inventory Planner- Carlow

Job Overview

My client, a leading manufacturer based in Carlow, is in need of an Inventory Planner to join their busy and growing site.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Planner with good Inventory Management skills, forecasting and experience with manufacturing planning to grow on their career.

The duties for the desired Inventory Planner include but are not limited to:

  • Provide effective support to the Maintenance Planning department in all aspects of inventory management
  • Point of contact and subject matter expert for all related inventory management aspects within the maintenance planning function
  • Help to develop planning schedules for Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Calibrations working to ensure the PM plan is set up for success with the correct parts and tools in stock
  • Ensuring Bills of Materials (BOMS) are in place for all manufacturing equipment, that effective Service Level agreements are maintained annually
  • Accountable for onsite spare parts, obsolesence management programme and responsible for ensuring change controls are in place for all inventory related items
  • Support continuous improvement by active participation in system failure investigations and investigation reports

The requirements for the desired Inventory Planner include but are not limited to:

  • Previous experience in a previous manufacturing environment/Inventory Management role
  • Strong knowledge of engineering parts
  • Strong systems skills- experience with ERP systems- SAP an advantage
  • Good communication and team work skills
  • Well organized with high attention to detail
  • Ability to learn/experience on GMP systems
  • Hard working and reliable
