I am delighted to be assisting this multi-national company in Cork to find an In-house Automation Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. I visited this company recently and it really is a great place to work.
This company know how to look after their staff and have recently opened a brand new state of the art centre of excellence with further investment planed for the Cork facility over the next 18 months. They employ over 300 people in Cork and work with a very impressive portfolio of companies both in Ireland and globally covering med device, pharma, food & beverage industries.

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will work with a team of talented international professionals in a dynamic, challenging and fast paced environment where customer focus is essential and a non-hierarchical approach is the norm.

You will provide virtual technical support and consultancy services to a range of large multi-national clients & you will lead external and internal technical projects that are varied and encompass a range of disciplines such as automation, industrial installations, electrical/pneumatic systems.


To be successful in this role you will need 5+ years experience and have be proficient in the delivery of technical projects and generating high quality technical reports. From a technical perspective you will need experience with Electrical Control, AC/DC Motors, Inverters, Drives, Pneumatics and Hydraulics including installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting.

You will hold a relevant engineering degree, preferably in automation, electrical or industrial and have a demonstrable ability to understand and interpret complex technical engineering issues and technical documentation (e.g. International Standards)

This role would suit someone who has done their time travelling to customer sites and is now looking for a more office based in-house role where they can provide technical support and consultancy on a virtual basis.
