Job Overview

The Role:

A position has arisen for a temporary full time HR Administrator, reporting to the HR Generalist. The successful candidate will form an integral part of the HR team and provide efficient and effective administrative support to two HR Generalists and the Head of HR in a fast paced and busy environment.


  • Manage, maintain and develop the HR database and time management system
  • Co-ordinate induction training
  • Generate all Purchase Orders through internal purchasing system
  • Administer the recruitment process, from initial role posting right through to starter induction
  • Diary management of the HR Team
  • Organise internal & external training courses
  • Draft and issue contracts of employment and follow up with new employees in advance of start date
  • Coordination of wellness activities for all 3 depots
  • Provide information to management and employees on policies, regulations and procedures
  • Involvement in internal communications - circulation of internal communications
  • General support to the HR Team and general administration duties, e.g. filing, data entry, post, references, statements of earnings, completing Social Welfare forms, mortgage application letters, note taking, typing of minutes etc

The successful candidate will:

  • Have excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Be self-disciplined and can work to targets and deadlines
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work efficiently in a fast paced, pressurised environment
  • Be prepared to work on their own initiative
  • Have excellent organisational skills


  • Certificate in HRM / Personnel Management desirable
  • At least one year's strong administration experience essential
  • HR Administration experience an advantage
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Powerpoint
  • Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy  Experience in the system & TMS an advantage
