I'm currently recruiting for a Clerical Officer to join the Emergency Department in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary

You are responsible for providing a front-line reception service and administrative function to the Emergency Department and for delivering a high standard of customer care to a wide range of client groups, including the ward's multi-disciplinary team, patients, relatives and their carers.

The post-holder must play a proactive role in collecting, investigating, verifying and recording a high standard of patient demographic and treatment data. The post holder must accurately and in a timely manner enter such information on the computerised patient information system, to ensure that the team receives appropriate level of information for patient activity, avoids the potential clinical risks inherent with inaccurate patient records and is compliant with GDPR

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide clerical support to the existing team
  • Responsible for patient check in and check out
  • Input, update and manage files
  • Diary management and appointment management
  • Take payments and manage receipts / invoices
  • Responsible for correspondence
  • Working on a roster over 7 days running 24 hours
  • 37 hours guaranteed / shift allowance available

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous clerical or reception experience is essential
  • Must be immediately available and available to work nights
  • Flexible, adaptable and a quick learner
  • Good with IT especially excel
  • Customer service skills and people person
