YOUR NEW COMPANY:
My client are an international telecommunications manufacturing & service provider company in operation for over 40 years Based in the South East off the M1 (just an hour from Dublin) the company has a number of operations internationally within Europe, Africa and Asia.
The company are primarily involved in the manufacture, installation, inspection and design analysis of telecom's equipment in both Ireland and abroad for their clients.
YOUR NEW H S& E SPECIALIST JOB:
This is a new role in the organisation due to the growth of the business and as Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist your main remit will be manage and coordinate HSE activities, queries, and administration. Reporting into the HSE Manager and working as part of a team of 3 you will be a key member of the function tasked with the development of HSE systems and site audits.
Day to day some of the key elements of this exciting H & S E Specialist role will include
- Ensure that administrative work relating to the HS & E department is dealt with in a timely manner.
- Maintain and make approved changes to the records and documents on the companys Management System
- Audit and review of systems and sites
- Ensure the accidents and incidents database is kept up to date, any incidents logged appropriately, and reports prepared.
- Organize induction process for new starters.
- Update the training resister and calibration register.
- Calibration of equipment

Due to the varied multi-site nature of the role no two days are the same and people here take a hands on attitude to their roles. You will not be micro managed and will be trusted to do your job in an organisation where people have a voice and arent just another 'cog in the machine'.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
My client is looking for a HS & E Specialist that has 3+ years relevant H & S experience within construction, manufacturing, or telecoms and hold a relevant H & S qualification.
You will ideally have multi-site experience and as my client has a presence internationally across 40 countries there will be international travel involved (approx. 1 week every 12/13 weeks) so you would need to be open to this.
This is a hybrid nationwide role where you'll be working a mixture that would see you working from home 1-2 days per week and working on client sites and in the manufacturing plant the other days. As they have customer sites all over Ireland you need to be comfortable driving to the various sites and staying overnight when logistically it makes sense to do so.
Due to nature of my client's products this role wont suit applicants who arent comfortable working at heights.
