Head of Sales : Telecommunications

Job Overview

As Head of Sales, you will manage a successful sales team, exceeding KPIs and targets on a monthly basis. As Head of Sales you must have at least 10 years' experience in the Telecommunications Industry with a proven excellence in tailoring network solutions - in particular integrated fibre and licensed wireless (microwave) networking.

  • As Head of Sales will be responsible for the overall identification, management and delivery of the sales strategy to clients as well the structure and negotiation of key business terms.
  • The Head of Sales Manager will maintain and enhance customer relationships and meet organizational and operational objectives as well as managing the sales team within this sector.
  • You will have established relationships and a very strong knowledge of the fixed line sector.
  • You will work collaboratively and coordinate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of client commitments.
  • You will also be aware of the competitive landscape in the market.

Specific Skills / Experience:

  • Relevant Industry Bachelor's Degree with advanced Degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Business to Business Sales in Telecommunication solutions and services
  • 5+ years of experience of tailored network solutions as well as integrated fibre and licensed wireless (Microwave) networking
  • 5+ years in progressively broader management roles, preferably in Business Development and Sales roles with proven results versus strategy
  • Strong account relationship skills, creative, driven, and self-motivated, with ability to work independently and with a team
  • Skilled negotiator including the ability to take direction or resolve issues independently
  • Strong persuasive and engaging oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the instinctive ability to be adaptable to an ever-changing environment as well as a good listener; able to identify and adapt to different clients
  • Well presented, motivated, driven and enthusiastic with strong business, market and commercial awareness
  • Flexible individual capable of adapting in a high-growth dynamic environment
  • Team player; able to contribute positively to the team and throughout the organisation but also able to maintain a high-level of autonomy
  • Excellent closing skills with the innate ability to overcome objections and obstacles throughout the sales process
