Head of Finance / ICT
Job Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Manager to join their team in Kilkenny. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing oversight to our accounting team as well as overseeing the ICT and strategic growth of the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, accounting, and management with proven experience in driving growth and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic guidance and direction to the company's financial and accounting teams
- Oversee the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting team including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis
- Analyze financial statements to identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations to senior management
- Develop and monitor budgets and financial forecasts
- Manage and oversee the company's ICT infrastructure and ensure it is aligned with the company's overall strategy
- Work with senior management to develop and implement growth strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business decisions
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors
- Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the accounting team
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Formal Accounting Qualification: ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Proven experience in managing a team and overseeing financial operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of accounting software and financial management tools
- Experience in the ICT industry or a related field is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements
