Our client is looking for a service, maintenance, caretaker, janitor type person who will cover the Cork county (some of Limerick and some of Waterford at times). This janitor role would be looking after, servicing and doing maintenance at petrol station forecourts across Cork county, in the shops (leaky sinks, blocked sinks,blocked toilets, blown bulbs, cracked tiles, painting etc), car wash (blocked pipes etc) and forecourt (power washing,leaky pump, fill a hole, fix the air machine).
You don't need to have a formal plumber qualification, but you need to have a proven employment record of having worked as a janitor, custodian, maintenance or caretaker.
This is a full time permanent, 39 hr work week Monday - Friday with call out and overtime expected. You will be supplied with a van, tools and your week is planned ahead (with some emergency work carried out in between). You are paid overtime after 39 hrs and your travel time is included (clock starts when you leave home). You will be paid a generous salary and a daily subsistence allowance (€15 pd).
You need to have the ability to work unsupervised and be able to use your initiative and get the jobs done in a timely fashion, working neatly and cleaning up as you go.
You will report to the maintenance manager.
Your duties will include:
- Facilities maintenance
- Planned maintenance
- Emergency maintenance
- Facilities clean up
Do you have a full clean Irish drivers license?
Do you have 5 years caretaker, janitor (paid employed not "Mr Fixit" at home) facilities maintenance experience?
This facilities job has a clear progression path to maintenance manager and the client is looking for someone who wants to progress and take on more responsibility.
