FP&A Analyst

Job Overview

Our client is seeking to hire a newly qualified accountant (FP&A Analyst) who has a love of data - big data and working with data to develop company forecasts as well as assessing acquisitions etc

This role - reporting directly to the Group FP&A Manager will give you a broad scope of exposure and a fast learning curve.

This role will offer a hybrid working policy - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.


Key Responsibilities:
Providing analysis against sales budgets and previous periods, identifying risks and opportunities, and effectively communicating results to senior leadership to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions.
Responsibility for accuracy of the weekly and monthly sales results.
Close off month end group sales and gross profit statements as part of the financial month-end close.
Play a key role in the group sales target setting process and maintenance of these targets.
Forecasting and Budgeting - play a key role in the production and maintenance of our financial forecasting models using Prophix our CPM software across the group.
Develop a deep understanding of industry trends, economics and key financial drivers across our customer base and regions.
Building and maintaining data Prediction models that drive business insights and improve business outcomes.
Reporting and Analytics - produce the Group KBI (Key Business Indicator) report for the management team highlighting key trends within the business.
Working in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Teams on specific high impact projects and ad hoc financial analysis.
Assisting in detailed Financial and Commercial due diligence on key projects.
Mentoring and supporting junior team members.

Requirements:
Part Qualified / Qualified with ACA, ACCA, AICPA & CIMA.
Understanding of Financial Structure, i.e. P&L, Balance Sheets and cashflow.
Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Experience in planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis an advantage.
Familiarity with models and data analytics tools an advantage.
Proficiency with Microsoft an essential, especially Excel a key requirement.
