FRS Recruitment have a excellent opportunity for a Financial Controller to join our client in North West Co Cork for a 6 - 9 month Fixed Term Contract role. Reporting to the CFO this position has full responsibility for the Finance function.

You will oversee all financial tasks, ensuring the client are managing their capital and resources effectively. This role will liaise with all the departments; Production, Supply Chain, Quality, HR.

This role will also involve creating forecasting models, assessing risk and ensuring all accounting activities comply with regulations. To be successful in this role, experience crafting financial strategies and managing accounting teams is essential.

Ultimately, this role will maintain the company's financial health and increase profitability in the long run.

Duties will include:

  • Forecast monthly, quarterly and annual results
  • Conduct risk management
  • Conduct profit and cost analyses
  • Oversee, approve/reject Departmental budgets.
  • Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring optimum performance and cross training where possible. Manage the payroll for all sites.
  • Manage company cash flow and flag issues to relevant managers on a timely basis.
  • Consult and update senior team on finance related items and update the Board on financial matters and funding options
  • Plan and oversee investments, relationships with lending institutions. Seek out and apply for grants & funding
  • Ensure confidential control measures are in place, lead the preparation for internal and external audits.
  • Adhere to financial regulations and GDPR requirements
  • Lead any mergers/acquisitions projects from a financial perspective
  • Implement cost reducing solutions for the business
  • Work closely with CEO, Board members and Commercial division re; pricing strategies etc

Skills and Experience:

  • ACCA/ CPA/CIMA or Similar accounting qualification and 5 years PQE
  • Experience leading a team at a senior level
  • Knowledge of budgeting and risk management.
  • Solid analytical and decision making skills.
  • Self-Motivated, organised, methodical and ability to motivate a team
  • Quality focus with a drive to ensure standards are raised
  • Internal and external customer service Experience in data analysis and forecasting models
