Financial Controller

Job Overview

Our client is currently seeking to hire a strong qualified accountant for the position of Finance Controller based in Waterford.
You will have full control of the day to day financial operations of the site and report weekly to the Group Financial Controller.

Managing a team of 4 - this is an onsite only position.

General duties include

Detailed reporting of company profit, monitoring income and expenditure for profit maximisation.
Prepare weekly accounts for the site.
Prepare monthly financial accounts with detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare year end accounts with detailed balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure the financial statements of the company comply with company law and applicable accounting standards.
Ensure all statutory matters are adhered to e.g. compliance with RCT/VAT regulations.
Authorisation of payments.
Responsible for effective credit control procedures.
Responsible for maintaining stock control records.
Produce management information as and when required.
Responsible for the Administration team.
Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills
Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA Accountant with 5+ years' experience
Proven experience with Financial Reporting, Management Accounting, Audit, Tax and Financial Analysis
Strong systems experience.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office suite packages including Office 365
Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage and meet deadlines
