Financial Accountant

Job Overview

FRS Recruitment have a exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our client based in Mallow Co Cork. This is a full time, permanent position.

The successful candidate will work in a management accounts capacity within a small financial team in a busy manufacturing industry organisation.

We can consider both Qualified or Part Qualified candidates for this role.

Duties will include:

* Have in depth knowledge and experience in management accounts.
* Have a good working knowledge of all ledgers.
* Be competent in ROS(Irish Revenue System), VAT, VAT Returns, Intrasat etc.
* Have a good knowledge of accounts packages and ERP systems.
* Be highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Have the ability to time manage efficiently while working to a deadline.
* Have the ability to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative.
* Have strong communication skills.
* Have excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities include:
* Control and management of the financial aspects of the business including weekly/monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasting.
* Detailed reporting on KPI's.
* Producing reports for management as required.
* Responsible for month-end processes including review of journal postings, accruals, and prepayments.
* Managing other ad hoc administrative tasks related to the financial function

Qualifications / Experience:

* Qualified / Part-qualified accountant / Experienced Accounting Technician.
* Have experience working in a similar role.
* Have experience in the implementation of new ERP systems including the migration of data.
