Financial Accountant

Job Overview

Due to internal promotion within the finance department - our client is now seeking to hire a skilled Financial Accountant to join their team in Monaghan.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will be hands-on in the day to day accounting function. You will be looking for a broad role covering a wide area of responsibility within the finance function.

This role is based on site.

Key Responsibilities
Preparation of Financial statements within a group function
Bank, intercompany & balance sheet reconciliations
Responsible for VAT, PAYE, CSO & statutory returns
Oversight of GL Accruals, prepayments etc.
Maintenance of Fixed Assets register.
Assist in preparation of annual budgets and internal audits
Assist with continuous improvement projects
Act as backup support for Banking and Payroll


Key Skills
Newly / Qualified Accountant Min 3 years experience
Team player, capable of working under own initiative and to tight deadlines
Strong communication & people skills
Exposure to customs processes
