Financial Accountant

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Qualified Accountant to join their team for a 12-month fixed term contract based in their offices in Cavan. This role will offer excellent experience within Insurance.

Key Tasks include:
Preparation of year-end Financial Statements and liaising with external auditors
Preparation of reports and returns to the Board of Directors and external parties
Participate in project-based assignments to improve internal and external reporting solutions.
Contribute to the implementation project for SGAAP
Preparation and submission of all regulatory reports for the Central Bank of Ireland and other bodies - making sure they are fully compliant with legal and regulatory obligations.
Liaising with the Compliance Function to ensure filing obligations are satisfied within regulatory deadlines
Contribute to the maintenance of company policies and procedures, ensuring regulatory review and update.
Liaising with the Risk Function and preparation of risk reporting
Ensuring all reporting requirements and deadlines are met
Completion of varied and ad-hoc reporting or project request.

Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
Audit experience desirable
Previous insurance industry exposure would be a significant advantage.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy information
Strong reporting experience
