Job Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, pensions and other transactions
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of day, week, and month end activities
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all board related activities and present to board members and other stakeholders
  • Monitor expenditure versus budget and advice management on deviations
  • Maintain internal financial controls
  • Direct the work of Finance and Administration department staff
  • Provide support to Internal Audit, the Comptroller and Auditor General and any other regulatory bodies in the performance of their audits
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislation
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage the relationship with suppliers and ensure delivery to contract
  • Document current processes within Corporate Services
  • Provide insights and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within Corporate Services

Requirements:

  • Previous public sector experience is required
  • A proven track record as a finance manager/financial controller
  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA OR FCA Qualified
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
