Finance Manager

Job Overview

Our client - a global leader in their field who have over 50 years experience in their industry is seeking a skilled Qualified Finance Manager to join their team. You will have 4 direct reports. This is a full-time permanent position based in Castlebar but would require a small about of travel to another country location.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervision of three Accounts Administrators and a Financial Accountant.
Ensure the team are managed with KPIs and focused objectives.
Development of strong business analytics that will allow briefing of the site Management teams on results and risks/opportunities.
Monthly Management Account Preparation, Inventory and Assets: Manage systems for current, accurate and complete accounting and reporting of revenues, overhead, inventory, controls and policies.
Be fully involved in the forecasting process including analysing trends and patterns, determining the impact and making recommendations for the Site. Assist in the creation and achievement of the approved budget of the Site.
Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
Support a service oriented and business partner approach within the Financial organization.
Build, develop and manage a suitable high performing team capable of carrying out the Finance and Accounting functions and responsibilities, including performance management and succession planning. Establish clear goals and objectives within the Site Finance functions.
Ensure that customer receivables are collected according to set targets. Assign collection activity as required, monitor follow-ups, quantify reasons for slow payment, resolve issues as they arise, and prepare timely reports as required.

Qualified Accountant
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a Finance Manager position
* Willingness to travel as required to the other sites
* Must be able to analyse operational data and provide guidance to the Management team
* Rational, logical, fact-driven decision making
* Must be able to lead, manage and develop other members on the team
* Must be able to hold self and subordinates accountable
* Readily able to modify work practices to support and respond to change
