Field Service Engineer - Laser Welding - Med Devices
Job Overview
My client, requires a Field Service Engineer to join their team in Ireland in the Med Device Industry. This is a permanent role, offering amazing career opportunities.
You will be supporting MNC's in the caterer, pace makers and stents fields of Med Devices. Ideally you will have a Med Device background with experience in Laser Welding, Laser Cutting and an understanding of PLC's and Vision Systems. This is a new role based in Ireland covering mainly Cork, Galway, Dublin and Clonmel. You will need to be a self motivator, and manage your own time well.
You will be responsible for all technical aspects for Laser and Laser Systems within Ireland and the NE Region as a whole. As part of the role you will make Pre-Sales technical support, System Commissioning, Installation, Servicing and Calibration of our Laser based product line.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Manage clients customer technical training and handling of customer technical inquiries, related to my client's Laser products. This role is a broad-based position, offering challenges and job satisfaction proving invaluable to both your success and that of our company.
- Install, align and service Laser Welding and Laser Marking systems/workstations, with PLC and motion control; to include hard- and software
- Make changes to PLC and motion control programs - B&R, Aerotech
- Give customers comprehensive technical support remotely as well as on site
Required:
- Pre-requisite Qualification/Extended experience in Laser Engineering
- Pre-requisite knowledge and experience in medical device manufacturing systems (3 years min.)
- Pre-requisite qualification/experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- A good understanding of the correlation between electronics and mechanics
- A motivated, self starter
