Electronics Technician

Job Overview

Our client, based a commutable distance from Cork City (on the bus route) requires an Electronics Operator - Post-wave soldering.
The day to day daily activities carried out in Post-wave:

*Perform assembly of PCBs and some mechanical hardware to formal Assembly Procedures, Process Procedures and Assembly drawing.

*Prototype work under engineering control.

Prepare components for manual insertion.

Hand solder both Through Hole and SMT components.

Basic component replacement and de-soldering.

Operate board cleaning and baking equipment.

Use a range of hand tools as required to manually prepare components.

Use Torque Tools for assembly of specific fasteners.

Typical components handled will be, Printed Circuit Cards, Discrete components, glues etc.

Operate miscellaneous small power and air tools to facilitate assembly of the CCA's

*IPC7711/IPC7721 required.

*The use of silicone and adhesive applications
