Deli Manager required for a Supermarket in Cork City
Main purpose of the Job: Reporting directly to the store manager, the Deli Manager will positively contribute to all aspects of managing the store, including the delivery of budgeted sales and profit targets, shrinkage/waste control, personnel costs, overall standards, procedures and disciplines across all departments and in the absence of the store manager be directly responsible for these.
- To ensure store standards across the entire Deli Department are at the highest level at all time
- Day to day management of a busy deli department, ensuring customer satisfaction and service are exceptional at all times
- To ensure the compliance of the store to all legislation as pertains to the store including HACCP, Health and Safety, Food Safety etc
- To manage, train and develop a team of staff
- Hold regular communication with all Staff and Senior Management
- To achieve all targets and KPI's as set by Senior Management
- Have in-depth knowledge of all Health & Safety regulations and how they relate to the store.
- To ensure merchandising and presentation in the Fresh Departments is to the highest standards at all times.
- To ensure weekly stocktaking procedures are adhered to.
- To attend bi-weekly management meetings and hold Fresh Departmental Meetings subsequently to ensure accurate communication of departmental performance and goal setting.
- To develop new concepts and ideas and ensure successful implementation.
- To ensure company rules, policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- To ensure the highest standards of Customer Service is given to all customers at all times.
- Minimum of 2 years fresh food deli management experience
- Must have experience in ordering and managing waste
- Be up to date in HACCP and food safety training
- Self-motivated and a passion for foodservice
- Has experience in managing ten and more staff
