Collections Manager

Job Description
We are looking to recruit an experienced Collections Manager to lead our clients collections team. This role is a permanent, full-time position based in Galway.


  • Manage and support the collections team members
  • Organise roster to ensure adequate cover in the call centre for holidays, lunch breaks etc.
  • Provide cover for call centre during busy periods
  • Organise call pools and allocate to team
  • Review performance of portfolios and team members
  • Motivate team to achieve targets
  • Perform individual call monitoring reviews with team
  • Liaise with Head of Compliance to agree and deliver training calendar to ensure compliance with industry best practice and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee client audits & compliance reporting
  • Oversee door agent process
  • Collections analytics - prepare daily, weekly and monthly KPI reports
  • Ensure complaints process is implemented efficiently
  • Other ad hoc duties as requested by the

Key Requirements

  • People management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years collections experience
  • Proven track record in credit management
  • Strong numerical, negotiation and analytical skills
  • Strong communicator with excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Comfortable in a leadership role
  • Highly motivated with ability to take ownership of the role
  • Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good team player
  • Experience in financial services industry a distinct advantage
  • Experience of working with an automated dialler an advantage
