My client, an Industry leader in providing supply chain services to a number of Multinational Manufacturing organizations is looking for a Buyer to join its Limerick team.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with external suppliers; Engineering, Pharmaceutical and Biomedical customers and third-party sub-contractors and all aspects of the operation, to maintain proactive successful relations.
  • Responsible for placing purchase orders for new and existing products.
  • Utilise the Company's ERP system for processing Purchasing Orders and controlling Company's owned inventory.
  • Issue, receive and manage Customers owned Inventory and utilising the Customers ERP stock management systems.
  • Liaising with other business units to ensure all inventory and purchasing related functions are running as they should.
  • Maintain weekly materials counts, advising the account manager of potential stock outs or shortages and identifying slow moving materials
  • Ensure Stock control records are maintained


Requirements for the desired Buyer:

  • Negotiating and buying experience.
  • Experience in ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Strong IT Skills with good Excel knowledge.
  • Previous experience with spare parts or MRO desired but not essential
  • Previous Buying experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment a distinct advantage
  • Strong communications skills
  • Hardworking and reliable
