Assistant Accountant

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a skilled Assistant Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a hands-on broad role covering - Reconciliation, AP & AR, VAT, Payroll, Multi-currency and GL.

Job description
Preparing and presenting the balance sheet reconciliations, as part of the monthly Management Accounts
Reconciling monthly accruals and prepayments schedules
Preparing, reviewing and filing VAT and Intrastat related returns for several entities and dealing with queries from tax authorities as and when required
Posting of bank entries cheques, direct debits, lodgements, etc.
Preparation and posting of invoices, payroll and general journals.
Preparation of financial reports on request.
Assist with Payroll function including point of contact for any queries
Other ad-hoc as required.

Key Skills
3 Years + experience in a similar role
IATI Qualified or Part Qualified desired
Exceptional attention to detail
Highly organised, methodical approach to work
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of SAP - an advantage
Ability to work within a team and individually.
Good interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with an ability to work on your own initiative.
