Assistant Accountant

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a skills Assistant Accountant to join their operations on a Part-Time Permanent Basis in South Dublin.

You will have had a hands-on role dealing with a mix of accounting activities and be seeking a Permanent three day a week position.

Key Duties/Responsibilities
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
Participate in various process improvements initiatives and other ad-hoc projects as defined by the business
General administration responsibilities
Liaising with other departments and suppliers to resolve queries
Document handling maintenance and organisation, to include generation/correspondence/filing
Word processing, spreadsheets and data input

Assisting in the completion of monthly management accounts, e.g. calculating and posting of journals accruals/prepayments
Assist with the analysis of monthly PL activity and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Forecasting and analysing monthly and yearly overheads
Organisation and filing of contracts and records (physical and digital)
To act as 'point of contact' for internal clients and external suppliers
Raising sales invoices
Reconciling debtor accounts and ensuring prompt payments
Processing supplier invoices, payment runs and creditor reconciliations
Bank Reconciliations
VAT returns and P30 returns
Payroll
Working with journals, sales and purchase ledgers
Assistance in preparation of monthly management accounts
Produce ad hoc reports as requested
