FRS Recruitment are working on behalf of an Irish Agribusiness and inviting applications for the role of Area Sales Manager (B2B). Indeed this is a full time permanent role that may suit candidates in the Midlands (Loais, Offaly, Westmeath) or Galway region.

Role: Full Time

Location: Midlands Region & Connacht Regions.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be based in the Midlands area, working as part of our clients sales and business development team. The role will be focused on managing and growing sales with our existing merchant base and opening and developing new merchant opportunities. This role represents a great chance to become an important part of a small but focused sales team with scope for continuous learning and career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop strong relationships with the company's merchant base in the Midlands & Connacht region.
  • Manage designated customer accounts in a professional & timely fashion.
  • Generate sales and contribute towards the company's sales targets.
  • Identify new sales opportunities by up-selling and cross-selling where possible.
  • Cash collection.
  • Prepare reports on sales and account status.
  • Offer technical support on-farm in some circumstances.

Key requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Third level Agricultural Science based qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar Agribusiness role would be ideal, but not essential.
  • Hands on experience in a Dairy / Calf / Beef farming environment is preferable.
  • IT literate and competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Available to spend up to 2 nights out per week.
  • Valid driving license.
