Job Overview

Our client based in Tipperary are seeking to recruit an Accounts Receivable / Accounts assistant to join their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for invoicing clients, tracking payments, and managing accounts receivable processes. Additionally, you will provide general support as an accounts assistant. The ideal candidate is highly organised, possesses strong analytical skills, and has a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities:

  • Generate and send accurate and timely invoices to clients based on agreed-upon terms.
  • Review and verify billing data, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Follow up with clients regarding outstanding invoices and resolve any billing issues or discrepancies.
  • Process and apply payments to customer accounts accurately and efficiently.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies or payment variances.
  • Assist with accounts payable functions, including processing vendor invoices, verifying expenses, and preparing payments.
  • Bi-Monthly Vat Returns
  • Assist with management accounts.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of transactions.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities as required.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve financial processes and efficiency.


Skills & Attributes:

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, or a similar finance role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
