Job Overview

FRS Recruitment have a exciting opportunity for a Accounts Assistant to join our client in Shannon Co Clare. This is a full time, permanent position where you will be a key part of the local Finance team. This role offers a hybrid model of working from home following probation .You will be working closely with the Financial Manager and other team members to successfully execute various accounting tasks.

What will you be doing?

* Payroll processing of both monthly salaries and weekly pay runs
* Management of ROS reporting & relevant payroll deduction payments & reporting
* Year-end payroll reporting & reconciliation
* BIK calculation and application
* Credit control and allocation of customer payments
* Bank reconciliations
* System price book management
* Monthly intrastat reporting & reconciliation
* Management of shared services processing - day to day contact of same
* Monthly journal processing
* Other ad-hoc tasks

Skills and Experience:

* Accounting Technician qualified/Part Qualified Accountant with at least 2 years relevant experience in a similar role
* Ideally the candidate will have knowledge of payroll
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines while producing work of a high standard
* Highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment
* Ability to engage in teamwork and prioritise workload effectively
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Experience of ERP and Lean Systems
* Actively supports Continuous Improvement initiatives within the company
