Job Overview

FRS Recruitment have a exciting opportunity for a Accounts Assistant to join our growing client in Ballinasloe Co Galway. This is a full time , permanent position. You will become a key member of Accounts Team, responsible for:

* Posting of AP & AR transactions and Account reconciliations, and Debtor Management
* Preparing/emailing invoices/statements as part of Month End process
* Administering Petty Cash with monthly reconciliation
* Bank & Balance Sheet Reconciliations
* Prepare Bank Lodgements
* Prepare timely VAT/Intrastat returns through ROS
* Assist in preparation of audit files & liaising with auditors
* Assist with monthly/quarterly reporting
* General administration & office filing and all other job-related tasks as required
* Additional duties as assigned by Manager

Key Skills:
* Part qualified Accountant / IATI qualification advantage (depending on experience)
* Minimum 2/3 years experience
* Excellent administration and data entry skills with full knowledge of MS Office Suite and Revenue on-line procedures
* Proficiency in SAGE 200 an advantage
* Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner
* Be professional & courteous with a problem-solving attitude
* Ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, self-motivate, multi-task and flexible in approach
* High attention to detail
* Be a team-player with excellent communication skills
* Ability to work as part of a high performing team as well as on your own initiative
