Accounts Assistant

Job Overview

This Accounts Assistant role will be focused on treasury management for a growing business with multiple locations across the island of Ireland. The role will allow for you to 'make it your own' with scope to implement best practice process and improvements.

Working with a strong management team, you can expect to build on your existing experience working in a fast-paced finance function. This opportunity will give you exposure to various functions giving a wide view of how the business works. You will have:

* Excellent communication skills
* Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously
* Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
* Identify areas of improvement and implement best practice processes
* Excellent Excel skills
* Good working knowledge of a finance function and general bookkeeping entries

What are the main responsibilities?
* Basic bookkeeping with balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger account analysis
* Management of cash transactions
* Maintaining accuracy of financial transactions
* Working with journal transactions, sales & purchase ledgers
* Daily review of tender declarations and posting corrections where necessary
* End to end management of bank accounts for Southern & Northern Ireland including:

  • Bank accounts reconciled on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Detailed review of outstanding transactions
  • Working closely with the wider business ensuring accuracy and providing guidance where necessary
  • Control/Administration over bank accounts i.e. management of lodgement books / credit card terminals

* Providing support to the wider business partners
* Assisting in the preparation of management & statutory accounts
