Job Overview

We are recruiting for a Accounts Assistant with experience working in a manufacturing environment for our client in Co Offaly. This is a newly created role and the successful candidate will take ownership of the finance function for the business. This is a full time , permanent position.

We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic to learn and develop within the business. We are seeking a self starter who will take ownership of duties involved. This is a great opportunity with long term growth and progression.

Duties will include:

  • Managing the finance function of the business
  • Working closely with the external accountant
  • Tax base knowledge: Vat, social security contribution, income tax.
  • Accounting registration of customer invoices
  • Accounting registration of suppliers invoices
  • Accounting registration of bank movements
  • Payroll accounting entry
  • Stock reports
  • Valuation of raw materials and finished products warehouse and WIP
  • Knowledge of the accounting principles for the preparation of the annual financial statement
  • Processing supplier payments
  • Credit management
  • Management of fixed book assets and depreciation
  • General accounts & administration

Skills and Experience:

  • Accounting Technician or Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant desired
  • We will also consider applicants with 3 - 5 years experience as Accounts Assistant
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles
  • Strong IT Skills ( Word , Excel ) and reporting skills
