Accounts Assistant

Job Overview

We have a excellent opportunity for a Accounts Assistant with our growing client in Co Cavan. This is a permanent position with flexible working options.

You will be responsible for managing the finance function and reporting to the Managing Director.

Duties will include:

  • Prepare Monthly Management Accounts information and cash flow
  • Creditor/Debtor Management
  • Verification and Input of Purchase Invoices
  • Allocation of payments Account Review
  • Verification and input of customers orders and Update EDI
  • Allocation of Payments Account review
  • Product Management
  • Prepare, maintain product process costings
  • Stock management / Support Purchasing
  • Bank account management
  • Bank Reconciliations / Creditor Payments
  • Prepare Vat Returns and reconciliations, PAYE returns
  • Prepare Trading and Balance Sheet for Published Accounts
  • Payroll Management
  • Inventory Management
  • Grant management, funding identification, grant claims, and compliance
  • System administration and development

Experience:

  • Accountancy Qualification
  • Excellent IT Skills ( Microsoft Excel, Reporting etc )
  • Previous experience with SAGE 50 advantage
  • Strong emphasis on teamwork and ability to delegate and oversee work
  • Commercially focused
  • Ability to adapt and flexible attitude to work
  • Previous Management / Cost Accountant experience advantage
