Summary

Accounts Assistant urgently required for an established company operating in the South East. This International organisation are seeking a part qualified Accounts Assistant with 3-4 years' experience to join their rapidly growing finance division. You will be responsible for providing financial support to the Accountants and Senior Accounting team across the division. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring accountant to develop their career and gain a high level of exposure across all functions of the business.

About the Accounts Assistant

As the Accounts Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Assist with Annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Support the Senior Finance team with preparation of monthly management accounts including analysing and investigating variances
  • Preparation of year-end Financial accounts for audit and liaising with external auditors
  • Provide essential support with preparation of year-end Tax returns
  • Preparation of both routine and ad hoc management reports
  • Encourage continuous improvement of financial reporting processes
  • Other ad hoc projects and duties as required

About you

  • Part qualified accountant
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with financial accounting and reporting systems
  • Microsoft Office experience with a focus on Excel
  • Fast learner able to work on own initiative, independently and to deadlines
  • Strong business acumen with excellent attention to detail
  • Brilliant interpersonal skills
