Accounts Assistant

Job Overview

The role will involve:

  • Processing all accounting tasks - including payable and receivable
  • Aiding in the writing of polices and procedure involved in this
  • Ensure timely/accurate scanning and filing of all relevant documentation
  • Provide Support with the preparation of Returns including VAT
  • Assisting with daily, weekly and monthly controls
  • Provide assistance with the completion of month end task lists to strict deadlines
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Overall assistance within the finance team in other areas as required

The successful candidate will be:

  • An enthusiastic person with at least 3 year's accounts work experience
  • Accounting Technician or equivalent accounting qualification
  • Strong I.T. skills
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions and develop recommendations
