Accounts Assistant

Job Overview

FRS Recruitment are currently recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant to work directly with Senior Management on Financial Reporting within the Finance Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts

o Accruals & Prepayments

o Monthly recurring journals

o Depreciation calculations

  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations and Analysis
  • Provide analysis of costs with detailed variance reporting - Payroll & Overheads
  • Involvement in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
  • Work closely with accounts payable and receivable team
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual audit file
  • Payroll - P35 reconciliation
  • Maintaining and updating the Fixed Asset Register
  • Ad Hoc duties to assist the wider finance team
  • Liaising with Limerick Branch on inter-company transactions

Requirements:

  • Accounting Technician qualification / Business Degree is desirable
  • 2/3 Years' Experience
  • A good understanding of WIP/Debtors/Creditors
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word & Powerpoint
  • Solid understanding of accounting theory and methods
  • Working Experience with Accounting Packages - eg. Microsoft Great Plains or similar packages
