The Accountant is an important technical resource that will report to the Senior Manager of Revenue Accounting and will work in a busy, flexable, and global team. The role would suit a qualified accountant, trained in practice.

As an Accountant, you will interact with multiple groups at and be responsible for the accurate accounting of the company's revenues and ensuring compliance with the group's revenue recognition policies & procedures.

In this role you will:

  • Record timely and accurate completion of all monthly, quarterly and year-end revenue-related close procedures and processes including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations for all related balance sheet accounts (e.g., Unbilled Receivable, Deferred revenue, Revenue accruals etc.)
  • Research accounting guidance and prepare first draft of technical accounting memos for non-standard customer agreements.
  • Work closely with Billing, FP&A, Sales & Sales Operations on revenue forecasting and other customer matters.
  • Work closely with the internal and external audit teams regarding all revenue audit requirements and proactively resolve all revenue-related items.
  • Support the completion of all revenue related disclosures in the financial statements for US GAAP and Statutory purposes.
  • Maintain control documentation for revenue related processes and key controls
  • Help lead the implementation of best practices including the standardisation and improvement of processes, procedures, controls and systems to scale our business and revenue expansion.
  • Assist with User Acceptance testing of revenue tools.
  • Participate in ad‐hoc projects as required

Must haves for this role are:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP preferred
  • Knowledge of ASC 606
  • Experience in researching accounting literature and preparing accounting memos.
  • Understanding of accounting guidelines for software revenue recognition preferred (ASC606).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to establish and adhere to strict monthly/quarterly deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite, Microsoft Office and Salesforce preferred.
  • Work effectively with team members - internal and external to revenue function.
