Accountant (3 Day Week)
Job Overview
Our client in North Tipperary is looking for an experienced accountant to manage the financial aspects of their business. Offering a flexible 3-day working week, at their North Tipperary site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of tasks, including overseeing bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, payroll management, and tax compliance. The ideal candidate should also have a strong understanding of the consumer goods or agricultural industry and related regulations and be able to analyse financial reports to identify trends and make recommendations for improving profitability and reducing costs.
Key responsibilities:
- Smooth running management of financial operations, including bookkeeping, invoicing, and payroll management and from time-to-time projects, working closely with the Management team.
- Prepare financial reports and analyse financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and filing requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including managing relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Ensure the accuracy of all financial records and documentation
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the industry and related regulations.
- Involvement with both internal and external audits.
Key skills and qualifications:
- With a recognised accounting qualification, such as ACCA, ACA, or CIMA, our client would also consider non-qualified candidates with strong, relevant accounting experience in this area.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the Consumer goods, Agricultural or Production industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- A proactive approach to work
