Account Manager urgently required for a fantastic global brand specialising in the food industry! You will have full responsibility for the management and development of retail accounts including the development of new business. You will bring with you strong experience in business development with previous experience managing retail accounts within the food industry!

About the Account Manager - Retail

As the Account Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the allocated accounts receive top customer satisfaction through continuous communication and customer relationship management
  • Ensure continuous account planning and category management through the development and implementation of business plans to maximise category returns and drive sales
  • Through the accounts create new business development opportunities in the form of range reviews and new product development
  • Working alongside the customer you will create detailed promotional plans to drive sales and deliver on targets
  • Continuous tracking and monitoring of market trends and conducting regular desk and field market research to drive new product development and category management

About You

  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to influence senior members and communicate effectively
  • A minimum of 3 years within a similar role exclusively managing retail accounts within the food sector
  • Comfortable and confident working towards a set of KPI's and targets
  • Ideally you will have previous experience in the meat industry in particular
  • Proven sales ability with proven growth results
  • Suitable third level qualification (business, marketing, food science etc.)
