We are seeking a Workshop Manager for a long-established sheet metal workshop in Killarney.
Reporting to the Managing Director, as Workshop Manager you will supervise the production process in a safe and efficient manner ensuring all deadlines are met.
This is a hands-on role as well as managing the team on the floor. You will be part of the senior management team within the company.
The successful candidate will come from a similar work environment and who has strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Specific responsibilities:
- Review jobs as they come in, assess the time requirement, allocate day/time for the job.
- Set production schedule with input from daily meeting to include the prioritisation of jobs.
- Allocate work to workshop personnel.
- Supervise the quality of work.
- Ensure timely completion of work raise any issues that prevent work being done on time.
- Ensure completion of work is communicated and finished products are made available for collection.
- Assist in production process as required to ensure work is completed in time e.g. fabrication
- Ensuring stock levels are maintained and re-order as required.
- Monitoring of equipment and tools, ensuring all are maintained in working order and highlight any defects so repairs can be undertaken.
- Ensure all workshop activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
