Welding Robot Operator - Co. Galway
My client, a leading manufacturing company in Co. Galway, is seeking an experienced Welding Robot Operator to join their workshop team. This is a permanent role offering the opportunity to work with advanced robotic welding systems in a dynamic production environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain robotic welding cells
- Program robots, jigs, and fixtures for accurate, repeatable welds
- Troubleshoot and resolve welding and robotic issues
- Carry out preventative maintenance
- Inspect welded parts to meet quality standards
- Read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience as a Welding Robot Operator in manufacturing (essential)
- Experience programming robotic welding jigs and fixtures (essential)
- Leaving Certificate minimum; technical or welding qualification desirable
- Knowledge of MIG/MAG, TIG and other welding processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience with robotic programming software (Yaskawa an advantage)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
