Urgent: Stock Controller / Engineering Stores Operative

Westport, Co. Mayo
Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8.15am – 5pm (4pm finish Friday)
We are urgently seeking a Stock Controller / Engineering Stores Operative to join a busy stores team supporting MRO spares for a well-established company based in Westport, Co. Mayo. This is a full-time, permanent role with an immediate start available.
The Role:
This is a hands-on stores and inventory support role, ideal for someone with general warehouse or materials handling experience who is also confident working with systems. A key part of this position involves managing inventory, using ERP software, and keeping stock data accurate and up to date. Candidates should be comfortable spending a portion of each day working on a laptop and not solely focused on manual labour.
Key Responsibilities:

Receive and label deliveries, updating ERP systems (e.g. Maximo or similar)

Set up and maintain inventory records with high accuracy

Issue materials to maintenance and engineering teams

Conduct regular cycle counts and support stock reconciliation

Maintain clean and audit-ready stores areas

Manage stock movements and returns

Liaise with internal stakeholders and suppliers
What We're Looking For:

Experience in a warehouse or stock control environment

Strong IT skills and ability to work with ERP or inventory systems (Maximo experience a plus)

Good attention to detail and accuracy in data entry

Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach

Ability to work well in a team and support wider site operations

Prior exposure to engineering spares, MRO, or similar is beneficial
Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8.15am – 5.00pm

Friday: 8.15am – 4.00pm
