About the Role
As Warehouse Manager, you will oversee the smooth daily operations of a busy warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate handling of stock, efficient deliveries, and a clean, safe, and organised environment. Leading a small team, you will use your communication, planning, and leadership skills to maintain high standards of service and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Planning

Plan and manage daily workflows, truck loading/unloading, and delivery schedules

Oversee goods-in processes including unloading, put-away, and inter-branch transfers

Coordinate container deliveries and ensure timely unloading

Organise stock control, cycle counts, and annual stocktake
Leadership & Team Management

Lead and motivate a small warehouse team

Delegate tasks effectively and manage rotas to maintain coverage

Conduct performance reviews, mentoring, and team development

Promote a positive, collaborative, and productive working culture
Compliance & Systems

Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
-
Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment

Drive continuous improvement in warehouse systems and stock control

Liaise with internal departments and external logistics partners
Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution

Address operational or staffing issues promptly and professionally

Foster a fair, respectful, and inclusive workplace
Requirements

Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management

Strong leadership, planning, and organisational abilities
-
Confident communication and interpersonal skills

Sound knowledge of warehouse systems and Microsoft Office

Understanding of health & safety compliance
-
Forklift licence desirable but not essential
