VAT Assistant Manager – Dublin (Hybrid)
I am working with a leading professional services firm that is continuing to expand its indirect tax offering and now seeks a VAT Assistant Manager to join a high-performing team. About the Role
You will work closely with directors and partners, advising a broad client base on VAT matters across multiple sectors. The role offers a mix of advisory, technical analysis, client management and involvement in shaping the firm’s indirect tax strategy. There is clear scope for development and long-term career growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Advise on a wide range of VAT matters including structuring, technical analysis and interpretation of legislation
• Support partners and directors in growing the firm’s indirect tax offering
• Manage a diverse client portfolio across industry sectors
• Liaise with international colleagues on cross-border queries
• Lead and review work delivered by junior team members
• Oversee budgets and ensure delivery to agreed timelines
Skills and Experience
• Strong working knowledge of Irish VAT legislation and the EU VAT Directive
• Minimum 5 years’ VAT experience within practice, legal or accountancy environments
• Proven ability to apply VAT legislation and case law to client scenarios
• Confident communicator who can build and maintain client relationships
• Strong time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
• Tax, accounting, or legal qualification
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with ERP systems or tax technology tools is an advantage
