The Role
My client, a leading Irish food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Van Sales Executive to join their team based in Kildare. This is a full-time, permanent, on-road position.
As a Van Sales Executive you will be responsible for delivering products to existing customers, driving sales growth through up-selling and new business development, and ensuring effective merchandising and stock control.
Tasks & Duties
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, demonstrating a proven track record in van sales.
- Consistently meet sales targets and maintain scheduled customer visit frequencies.
- Effectively present, promote, and sell the company’s product range while introducing new items to customers.
- Ensure products are merchandised correctly in-store, including proper stock rotation and optimal placement of free standing display units (FSDUs).
- Promptly address and resolve customer issues to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Maintain accurate stock control of the vehicle and communicate customer insights, competitor activity, and new product opportunities to the Sales Manager.
Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ sales experience with a strong ability to achieve targets and build lasting customer relationships.
- Strong influencing skills with the ability to work within company guidelines, meet deadlines, and drive sales.
- Highly organised and results-driven approach to sales.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices and promotional trends.
- Full, clean Category B driving licence; must be 25 years or older for insurance purposes.
- Proficient in the use of handheld sales devices.
