Location: Tralee, Co. Kerry
Position: Full Time, Permanent
Working Hours: 8am – 5pm or 9am-6pm
Salary: €33k - €35k
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Transport Planner to join their team in Kerry. The transport Planner will plan and manage daily transport operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant movement of vehicles, drivers, and materials.
Responsibilities:
- First point of contact for customer queries/bookings
- Schedule and optimise vehicle routes, driver shifts, and collections/deliveries.
- Monitor fleet performance, utilisation, and costs.
- Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues.
- Support continuous improvement in efficiency, cost control, and environmental impact.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations and compliance.
- IT literate with planning/optimisation tools and MS Office.
- Organised, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
