Turas Nua, Ireland's Social Recruitment and Training Partner, are hiring for a Training Specialist in Cork. This role will be based in Cork City but will require travel across Cork County. Therefore, licence and own transport is essential.

PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB

To provide professional and expert training to our clients with the highest standards of delivery using a variety of methods. Ensuring that the client is always at the centre of the learning experience, providing information and guidance in a friendly, welcoming environment that promotes learning in a positive way. A proficient training content creator, with a creative flair for the design of high-quality material and experiences. This is a region-based role with a number of offices to cover, flexibility to travel is required within the designated region and occasionally outside the region as requested by the training coordinator.

Trainer Profile:

  1. You are a competent training professional with significant experience of the full training life cycle from analysis, design, development, delivery to evaluation of programmes.
  2. You will be familiar with and have a keen interest in current learning technologies. This will include webinars, web conferencing and learning management systems.
  3. You will have excellent presentation skills and be comfortable with delivery to large and small groups using a variety of delivery methods including online, face to face classroom and live virtual classroom.
  1. You will be highly efficient with the ability to seamlessly move between multiple, online training sessions at regular intervals throughout the day.
  2. You will have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).
  3. You will possess and exhibit strong training content development skills.
  4. You must be available to travel throughout your designated region.

Trainer Key Responsibilities:

  1. Create a high standard of various forms of training content as and when requested. This will include (but is not limited to) lesson planning, storyboard writing and learner material.
  2. Collaborate and work with Subject Matter Experts on a range of topics to create engaging training content.
  3. Present new content to the QA team to acquire feedback and recommendations.
  4. Participate in and deliver new content pilot and rollout sessions.
  5. Deliver effective training to clients from an approved catalogue of courses and webinars.
  6. Deliver training sessions using web conferencing software, update and manage attendance.
  7. Deliver classroom training sessions to clients face-to-face.
  8. Achieve the required course evaluation standards as set out by the business.
  9. Update client training records on Salesforce.
  10. Participate in monthly TNA meetings with Operations, creating a schedule of courses to meet the needs of employers and clients.
  11. Regularly and actively promote the training offer to clients and Operations.
  12. Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the business.
  13. Ensure all Data Protection regulations are always fully adhered to.

Trainer Essential Requirements:

  • Third level qualification or equivalent
  • Train the Trainer or equivalent
  • Strong course development skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Full driving license and car
  • Knowledge of common learning technologies
  • Confident presenter to large and small groups
  • Highly efficient and exceptional time management skills
  • Previous experience delivering training to classroom and virtual groups
    • Flexible and approachable
    • Motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
  • The ability to build rapport and work effectively with teams and individuals
  • The ability to interact professionally with operations, employer services, training teams and subject matter experts
  • Experience delivering and administering training via webinar

Desirable:

  • TEFL or CELTA qualification
