Temp Social Care Leader - Cork – Mainstream Sector

FRS Recruitment is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Temp Child and Family Support Coordinator to join a leading service in Cork. This organisation provides a range of services including child protection, alternative care, specified regulatory services and a range of family support services. Its vision is delivered through its core values of client – centres services, committed to being and doing the best for their service users, staff and organisation.

In your new role you will:

  • Assess needs of the families by meeting with individual family members and the family as a unit.
  • Deliver and evaluate Family Support plans of work in conjunction with families to increase their coping skills and informed decision making.
  • Work closely and liaise with the Senior Social Care Worker to ensure integrated working towards positive outcomes for all children and young people and families.
  • Develop and implement individual and group programmes for children, young people and families at risk.
  • Work as part of a team with a mixed programme of work and moving with ease between concurrent projects.
  • Maintain standards of practice and levels of professional knowledge by participating in continuous professional development initiatives and attendance at courses as appropriate.

To be a successful candidate you will have:

  • A minimum QQI Level 7 in Social Care or related field – Community Work, Family Support etc
  • Eligible for CORU Registration & have started the process
  • Minimum 2 year's experience working in the area of direct child and family support services.
  • A full clean driver’s licence.
