The Role

Due to continued growth across European markets, the company is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide dedicated support to customers in Ireland.

This home-based role is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional from the solar or renewable energy industry who enjoys solving problems, supporting customers, and working across both commercial and technical functions.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice and resolutions via phone, email, and CRM to customers, installers, and service partners

  • Support the installation, commissioning, and operation of solar PV systems

  • Diagnose and resolve issues using a dedicated monitoring platform

  • Assist the sales team with technical support and customer communication

  • Conduct maintenance and performance analysis of solar systems

  • Maintain accurate documentation and activity records within the CRM system

  • Escalate complex technical queries to the wider support or engineering teams when required

  • Ensure local compliance with certification and regulatory standards

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer service


About You

  • Degree or master’s in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline

  • Minimum 2 year's experience in the solar or renewable energy sector

  • Understanding of solar inverters and PV system operation (advantageous but not essential)

  • Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills

  • Commercially aware with experience supporting sales or business development

  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team

  • Fluent in English; additional European language skills are an advantage

  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Europe for events or training
